American College of Coverage Counsel 9th Annual Meeting
Save the Date!

Call for Speakers:

The American College of Coverage Counsel is seeking panel proposals for the 2021 Annual Meeting, currently scheduled for September 22-24, 2021, at the InterContinental Chicago, Chicago, IL. There will be an evening cocktail reception on Wednesday, Sept. 22, with panel sessions occurring all day Thursday, Sept. 23, and the morning of Friday, Sept. 24.

We are optimistic that the 2021 Meeting will be conducted in person, and information about group hotel rates and reservations will be provided in the future. If the current health situation prevents us from meeting in person, the current plan is for a virtual meeting to proceed over the same time period.

Regardless of the meeting platform, we are looking for instructive and informative panel proposals on varied topics for the 2021 Meeting, which may include (but do not need to be limited to) recent developments and/or trends in first and third party coverage matters (including extracontractual exposures), practical pre-trial and trial tips and techniques in coverage cases, and the navigation of ethical issues in a coverage practice.

The College had several presentations on COVID-19 related coverage issues at its 2020 Annual Meeting and several webinars. If you propose a panel on this topic, different or distinct perspectives on the topic are encouraged.

Panels must be diverse and evenly balanced from the standpoint of 1) presenter coverage practice (both policyholder and carrier), 2) gender, and 3) race/national origin/ethnicity. Only Fellows of the College may be speakers, with the exception of judges or professors. Proposals which identify a full slate of presenters by name and revealing the required expectation of diversity are requested, although we can assist as necessary in filling speaker vacancies.

If a panel proposal is selected, the panel will be required to submit a paper addressing the subject matter of the presentation in order to qualify the program for CLE credit.

We look forward to seeing you in September 2021!
