The competition, which is intended to measure the analytic and writing skills of law students studying insurance, comes with a cash prize and the opportunity to attend the ACCC’s Annual Meeting in Chicago in May of 2023. This year’s writing competition asks students to choose one of two sides in a case involving an insurance company and a Texas based company in preparing a motion for partial summary judgment on a specific set of grounds as presented by each party. Three winners will be selected by a panel of ACCC Fellows. The recipients will each receive a cash prize and an invitation to attend the College’s Annual Meeting in Chicago, March 10-12, 2023, with a travel stipend. This will present a wonderful opportunity for these students to meet and network with some of the top insurance lawyers in the United States. Previous competition winners were third-year students who are now practicing at excellent coverage firms around the country. The competition materials can be downloaded here. If you have trouble downloading the file, please email [email protected].
